     Ireland's Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has announced that he doesn't want to wait until the December Budget to impliment the cut backs on government spending as out lined in the 'An Bord Snip Nua' report put together by Colm McCarthy. He also announced that he isn't going to raise taxation in the next budget, making his 4 BILLION worth of savings entirely from cuts in public spending.

     I understand entirely that our government cannot continue to borrow 400 BILLION a WEEK to cover public spending - but why should the citizens have to pay the price for the fact that the Government didn't save a fucking CENT during the Celtic Tiger. Now they're going to save money by attacking public servants (AGAIN) cutting 17 THOUSAND jobs and taking money from those who need it the most - The elderly, the sick and the poor. God bless fucking Ireland eh?

     For years TD's have been campaigning for more money to be invested into Health and Education and I'm shocked and astounded that Economist Colm McCarthy (apparently an educated man) has recommended in his ridiculous report that we INCREASE the student - teacher ratio and cut funding for special needs assistants and language support teachers. Which when you consider the amount of non english speaking people that live here is just not feasible. I'm actually ashamed to call my self Irish and I'm sorry I didn't stay in Australia when I got the chance. I hope young Irish people do the intelligent thing and immigrate to other countries where their Governments aren't such useless self serving hypocrites.

     Why don't you increase the level of taxation for people earning more than a hundred grand a year Lenihan? Why don't you cut your own fucking wages before you cut 5% from Social Welfare payments and 30Euro a month from child benefit?

     If we were French the people wouldn't stand for this hypocritical nonsense. We have been docile and confused for too long - People of Ireland wake up and smell the bloody coffee we're being made complete fools of. George Lee the new Fine Gael Deputy is the only person who appears to be talking any sense today - I quote

"Go out and come up with something that will stimulate (the economy)...Don't brain wash us that if you cut back you will stimulate the economy."

     I was reading the Irish Examiner this afternoon and I found a few interesting facts sent in by a reader Cearbhall O'Dalaigh from Cork -

• The public Sector pay bill acccounts for 38% of all government spending.
• Between 2001 - 2006 Public Sector Salaries increased by 59% compared to a 19% rise in Industrial wages.
• Retired Civil Servants who sit on job interview panels earn up to 878EURO PER DAY!

    Please sort out these spoilt bastards before you cut from Health, Education and Social Welfare. Also a very honest Doctor has written in his name is John Barton and he works at Portiuncula Hospital, he has advised that his wages have hiked up to the tune of TWENTY FIVE GRAND. Isn't it bloody hilarious that people who are already over paid get a raise in their wages while the Health Service Executive suggests cutting services to the sick. Colm McCarthy's report makes no reference to this fact while it makes recommendations to cut Welfare Payments and charge for medications.

    What a Preposterous country we live in? An Elitest bigoted self serving country where we keep the poor down and the rich up. I hope the people of Ireland show some solidarity and fucking revolt against this oppressive corrupt Government. As for the Taoiseach (should be renamed tooshit) he isn't fit to run up the stairs never mind run a country.
